Works Council
The Works Council of the Leibniz Institute of European History advocates for the rights and interests of employees, supporting them in everyday work matters. As an elected body, we work closely and transparently with the IEG’s Executive Board and staff to uphold agreed rights and obligations, foster a positive work environment, and strengthen employee involvement in the Institute’s decision-making.
Our key responsibilities include:
· A Contact Point for Questions and Concerns: We are here for all employees with questions, challenges, or suggestions for improvement, whether about individual employment contracts or general workplace policies.
· Protecting Employee Rights: The Works Council safeguards employees' rights and ensures fair treatment across the Institute.
· Enhancing the Workplace Environment: We are dedicated to promoting a positive and fair work environment, supporting initiatives that enhance employee satisfaction and well-being.
· Support in Case of Conflict: In cases of disputes or conflicts, we are available as mediators, working with those involved to find constructive solutions.
We encourage all employees to reach out with their concerns, questions, or ideas. Our mission is to ensure every employee’s voice is heard and that their rights are respected.
