Works Council

The Works Council of the Leibniz Institute of European History represents the interests of employees and campaigns for their rights and concerns in everyday working life. As an elected body, we work closely and trustingly with the Executive Board of the IEG and the employees to achieve compliance with collectively agreed and other rights and obligations, to promote a good working atmosphere and to strengthen co-determination at the Institute.

Our most important tasks include
- Contact point for questions and concerns: We are there for all employees if there are any questions, problems or suggestions for improvement, be it regarding individual employment contracts or general company regulations.
- Safeguarding employee rights: The works council ensures that employees' rights are safeguarded.
- Promoting the working environment: We are committed to creating a positive and fair working environment and support measures that improve employee satisfaction and well-being.
- Support in the event of conflicts: In the event of disagreements or conflicts, we are available as mediators to work with those affected to find solutions.

We encourage all employees to approach us with their concerns, questions or suggestions. Our aim is to ensure that the voices of all employees are heard and that their rights are respected.
