Fristende naht: CfP für Workshop »Rewilding in Europe: Genealogies, Imaginaries and Practices of Conservation in the Anthropocene« – Frist: 31. Oktober
Das Fristende - 31.10.2024 - naht für den Call for Papers für »Rewilding in Europe: Genealogies, Imaginaries and Practices of Conservation in the Anthropocene«, 19.-21.03.2025, einem interdisziplinären Workshop des Leibniz-Forschungsverbunds »Wert der Vergangenheit«. Veranstaltungsort ist das Museum Koenig Bonn, Leibniz-Institut zur Analyse des Biodiversitätswandels (LIB). Die Veranstaltungssprache ist Englisch.
Das Organisationsteam Katharina Schmidt-Loske (Leibniz-Institut zur Analyse des Biodiversitätswandels, Museum Koenig Bonn), Bernhard Gißibl (Leibniz-Institut für Europäische Geschichte), Jordi Serangeli (Universität Tübingen), Pavla Šimková (Collegium Carolinum e.V., München), Helmuth Trischler (Deutsches Museum, München), Willi Xylander (Senckenberg Museum für Naturkunde Görlitz) freut sich auf Vorschläge mit einer Zusammenfassung von max. 300 Wörtern.

The interdisciplinary workshop, taking place from 19 to 21 March 2025 at the Museum Koenig in Bonn (Germany), will bring together scholars from the humanities and the natural sciences with practitioners of conservation to discuss and reflect on the historical development, the current practice, and the future of rewilding in Europe. Speakers are encouraged to address the following problems and questions, drawing upon the expertise gathered in their academic work as well as through participation in rewilding projects that seek to transform humanoccupied landscapes into new wildernesses.

We still seek for oral presentations (ca. 20 min) or posters: Please send proposals with an abstract of max. 300 words and a short CV to Bernhard Gißibl and Katharina Schmidt-Loske by October 31, 2024. Please don’t hesitate to get in
