ConedaKOR

The open source software ConedaKOR is an open source scientific research software. It has been used in the context of research in the humanities for over twelve years and is constantly being further developed. ConedaKOR provides archiving, management and research of image and metadata on a common web-based interface. It is therefore aimed at image-oriented research, in which digital representations make the mostly analogue object of study available in research and teaching. The ConedaKOR database system was originally developed at the Institute of Art History in Frankfurt am Main and is now in use at various universities and research institutions. In addition to the possibility of operating one's own ConedaKOR instances with the freely available code, the system is also offered as a "Software as a Service" solution via the European research infrastructure DARIAH-EU. A future topic is changing the usage practices of open data through machine readability and interfaces. Immediate re-use allows research projects to invest resources in continuation and enrichment rather than repetitive rebuilding. The Digital Historical Research | DH Lab of the IEG is not only actively involved in the further conception and development of ConedaKOR together with the community. It also advises interested parties from the discipline on overarching research data infrastructures.
